Nuala is an Associate at Wishart Law Firm, LLP. She graduated from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in 1989 and proceeded to spend her time as an Articling Student at the City of Ottawa from 1989 to 1990. In 1991, she was called to the Bar.
Upon entering the workforce, Nuala became Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Ottawa in 1991, and stayed there until 1995, when she moved to Sault Ste. Marie, where she also served as an Assistant City Solicitor. In 2010, she was promoted to the position of City Solicitor. In 2015, Nuala served as Interim CAO for the city of Sault Ste. Marie. She has appeared before numerous courts and Tribunals including the Local Planning and Appeal Tribunal, the Human Rights Tribunal, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Social Benefits Tribunal. She has served and counsel and policy advisor to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Board. She joined Wishart Law Firm team in 2018 to lend us her expertise.
Nuala is also a certified specialist in the areas of municipal law, and planning and development law.
