Mia is an Associate at Wishart Law Firm LLP. Mia completed her Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Sociology at Algoma University in 2010. She then went on to attend Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School where she successfully completed her Juris Doctor in 2015. Mia also attended Lake Superior State University where she was awarded the Ontario Board of Trustees Scholarship and has her Certificate in Human Resources Practices from Sault College.
While in law school Mia received an academic entrance scholarship based on prior academic achievements. She also received the Certificate of Merit for the highest grade in Law Office Management, a Certificate of Training in facilitative mediation and was on the Dean’s List. Mia also completed a Judicial Externship with the Honourable Rosemarie E. Aquilina of the 30th Circuit Court. Mia belonged to the Italian-American Law Society, Amnesty International and the Canadian Law Student Association while in law school.
Prior to attending law school Mia worked with Wishart Law Firm for 6 years and then returned as an articling student and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2017. She also spent time as the acting Municipal Prosecutor for the City of Sault Ste. Marie.
