Jennifer is an accomplished Associate Lawyer at Wishart Law Firm LLP, specializing in management-side labour and employment law.

With an educational background in business administration and industrial relations, Jennifer is uniquely qualified to provide expert legal guidance to advance client interests and strategic goals. Jennifer’s exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, coupled with her commitment to professional excellence, are instrumental in achieving successful outcomes for our clients.

Jennifer brings a wealth of experience advising employers on various labour and employment matters including grievance arbitrations, workplace investigations, human rights and accommodation, occupational health and safety, wrongful dismissals, employment standards, collective bargaining and labour disputes. She regularly advises on regulatory compliance matters and contract drafting and negotiation for small to mid-sized private and public sector organizations in a wide range of industries throughout Ontario. Jennifer has expertise in facilitating training sessions for management teams on topics such as workplace investigations, privacy issues, workplace restoration techniques and regulatory literacy.

Jennifer has appeared before labour arbitrators, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, as well as other specialized administrative tribunals.

Jennifer earned her Juris Doctor from Queen’s University where she was the recipient of numerous academic awards including the Queen’s Law Prize in Collective Agreement Arbitration, the Queen’s Law Prize in Land Transactions, and a scholarship in Legal Ethics. Prior to law school, Jennifer graduated from the Queen’s University Employment Relations Program with a Master of Industrial Relations. Jennifer earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Management and Organizational Studies at the University of Western Ontario.

Prior to joining Wishart, Jennifer worked at a Sudbury-based law firm in its labour and employment department. Jennifer was thrilled to return to her home community of Sault Ste. Marie to join the exceptional team of legal experts at Wishart.
